"The Garden Design Workbook" Named one of the 12 Favorite Gardening Books by Cottage Living Magazine!

The second best surprise….while in the hospital recovering from birth of my son (the first best surprise), I open one of my favorite magazines to discover that "The Garden Design Workbook" was listed as one of the four favorite ‘solutions’ books. Here is what the magazine had to say about the book:

"Yes, it is simpler to pay someone to design your landscape, but to help you go the D.I.Y. route, this book breaks down the process into logical steps. Easy to use for hands on home gardeners."

March 2005 : "The Garden Makers Manual" is Released in USA!

While living and working in the UK, Rochelle Greayer helped her former professors...

Written by British authors, the manual required Americanization to be released outside of the UK market. Rochelle collaborated with authors Rosemary Alexander and Richard Sneesby to create internationally applicable design guide.

Here are what a few of the reviews say about the project:

Horticulture : "Supplementing a wealth of experience with knockout photographs and superb technical drawings, the authors, both celebrated English garden designers, have produced what amounts to a brilliant minicourse in garden engineering."—Horticulture, November/December 2005

Jean Starr Munster Times : "Whether your plans for the garden are big or small, you can find something in this book that will inspire you. Its ideas will exercise both your left and right brain muscles, beckoning to your creative side while taking your practical side by the hand toward realizing the possibilities. Whether you prefer vast vistas or miniscule vignettes, you'll find yourself picking this book up again and again to assure yourself how good it will look when your structure is finished."—Jean Starr, Munster (IN) Times, September 3, 2005

Amy McDowell Des Moines Press Citizen : "If your garden is packed with plants but lacks structure, this book will be invaluable to help you generate ideas and add some form."—Amy McDowell, Des Moines Press Citizen, August 10, 2005

Silent Witness Garden Wins Bronze!

The Silent Witness Garden wins Bronze!

"Designed by Rochelle Greayer and sponsored by the Junior League of London, the Silent Witness Garden intends to raise awareness of domestic violence. Red driftwood sculptures representing the victims emerge from an arid landscape of sand and dark-leaved plants. A handful of crimson dahlias add contrast, while a single olive tree gives height and brings a symbol of hope into the garden." – Country Life Online July 2003

Country Life Covers the 2003 Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

"Addressing crucial social concerns - whether tackling domestic violence or easing the plight of terminally ill children - was the underlying theme at the 2003 Hampton Court Flower Show, as it had been at Chelsea last May. Differently from Chelsea, however, designers went to the extent of sacrificing the planting scheme to ensure they conveyed a stronger message." - Carla Passino, Country Life
