Ms. Verge found her love of plants and gardening in high school, while working at a commercial nursery & greenhouse. With a degree in biology, concentrating in plant science from Bradford College, she studied as an intern at Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, MA, assisting with woody plant propagations & plant cataloging. For 12 years Angie worked in the retail purchasing & sales analysis industry, and recently made a career change back towards the field of horticulture.

A native of Massachusetts, Angie enjoys the vast variety of New England trees & shrubs and the challenge of identifying them in the natural landscape. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Landscape Design from the Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University, focusing on plant identification and planting design. Other activities include volunteer plant installations with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Gardens on the Greenway in downtown Boston. She joined Greayer Design Associates in 2008, assisting with marketing, database management & prospective clients.

When Angie isn’t doing homework or home improvement projects, she & her husband enjoy traveling and live music.
